FAWEZA, in partnership with FAWE Africa and with support from the Mastercard Foundation, has successfully concluded a 5-day Extended Orientation Programme (EOP) for the first cohort of bursary participants under the Mastercard Foundation Bursary Support Programme.

The programme brought together students from partner institutions to prepare them for academic success and personal growth. Over the five days, participants took part in sessions on Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship, Career Mapping, Life Skills, and Effective Communication, among others.

The orientation also provided a platform for students to share their aspirations and challenges while building networks that will support them throughout their studies.

Speaking at the close of the programme, facilitators encouraged the students to apply the knowledge gained, stay motivated, and become agents of change in their communities.

The bursary programme aims to ensure that vulnerable learners not only access education but are also equipped with the skills to thrive academically, socially, and professionally.
