FAWEZA successfully completed the verification and selection of 200 vulnerable young people for bursary support under the Mastercard Foundation Bursary Support Programme.

The selected youths came from ten provinces and were placed across ten partner institutions including five TVET institutions, three nursing schools, one teaching college, and one agricultural college.

The selection process was carried out carefully and fairly, with District and Provincial Selection Committees conducting home visits and working closely with local education officials to ensure that only the most deserving candidates were chosen. Verification was also completed at the institutional level before the bursaries were awarded, reinforcing transparency and accountability.

The bursary program aimed to remove financial barriers and provide disadvantaged students with access to quality education, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. By involving local stakeholders and upholding strict selection criteria, FAWEZA ensured that bursary opportunities reached those who needed them most, reinforcing its commitment to making education accessible for all.
