The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to implement the FAWE and Mastercard Foundation Program. There are 200 bursaries available (80% female and 20% male) for program participants interested in pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related courses for the academic year 2025. The program will prioritize participants facing the highest social and economic barriers, with 5% -15% of them being persons with disability and refugees.
The applicants must:
- Be aged between 15 – 25 years at the time of applying.
- Have Grade 12 O level.
- Not be on any bursary scheme.
- Young persons with disabilities, refugees, HIV/AIDS-infected or affected, orphaned [total or partial] are encouraged to apply.
- Be admitted into one of the following partner institutions of learning for the academic year 2025 in a STEM related courses:
- Mukinge College of Nursing and Midwifery, in Kasempa District;
- Malcolm Moffat College of Education, in Serenje District;
- Northern Technical College [NORTEC], in Ndola District;
- Chipata Trades Training Institute, in Chipata District;
- Lusaka Business and Technical College, in Lusaka District;
- Livingstone Institute of Business & Engineering Studies [LIBES], in Livingstone District;
- Kasama College of Education, in Kasama District;Mansa College of Nursing and Midwifery, in Mansa District;
- Zambia College of Agriculture, in Mpika District; and
- Lewanika College of Nursing & Midwifery, in Mongu District.

Successful applicants will receive full financial, academic and social support for their studies.
