We are part of the bigger Regional Pan African network of 33 National Chapters, the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE).

Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia, is a gender justice non-governmental and not for profit organisation working in the education sector. FAWEZA is affiliated to a pan African Non-Government Organization, FAWE African which was founded by five (5) African women Ministers of Education in 1992 to promote girls’ and women’s education in sub-Saharan Africa in line with Education For All Global Agenda. In Zambia, the first female Minister of Education, the late Hon. Dr. Kabunda Kayongo (MP), founded the organization in 1996. The organization is registered under the Registrar of Societies in Zambia and has presence in all the 10 provinces of Zambia.
