As part of the EVE Project, FAWEZA commemorated this year’s International Women’s Day by hosting a zonal awareness session in Namwala District, Southern Province. The session focused on empowering over-age 6th and 7th grade girls with essential knowledge on maturation, child marriages, teenage pregnancies, and gender-based violence (GBV).

Led by Guidance and Counseling teachers and members of the Stay In School Committee, the session provided a safe and interactive space for the girls to learn about these critical issues. The initiative aimed to equip them with information and skills to make informed decisions, advocate for their rights, and stay in school.

FAWEZA remains committed to promoting gender equity in education by raising awareness and providing support systems that help girls overcome barriers to learning.
